The Wedding That Started Our Decor Package

Jason called us with a date that was already close. Close enough that most venues would have said no. We set up a tour right away instead.

When Jason and Rachel walked the property, they told us something that stopped me for a second. They'd already put a deposit down somewhere else, an all inclusive venue, and that venue had gone quiet. No answers to emails. No answers to calls. Their wedding date was getting closer every week, and the people they'd trusted with it had disappeared.

They asked if we were all inclusive. At the time, we weren't. We were venue only. But what they actually needed wasn't a different label. It was help with the decorating, the setup, the coordination. Somebody to carry that weight so they didn't have to.

So we built something new. I offered to design a mock-up based on their colors and the inspiration photos they sent me, and once they approved it, I'd source and order every single piece. Their colors were dusty blue and green, and the mock-up came together beautifully: gold chargers, dusty blue plates for dinner and salad and cake, matching gold flatware, dusty blue glasses, and a new gold cake stand we added to the venue just for them. They loved it. Every item we ordered was exactly what was in that mock-up, nothing less.

From there, we brought in Two Blooms Design to bring the florals to life, and paired them with Summer, our month of coordinator. They were still able to bring in a family friend to cater and their own choice for the cake, because that's how we do things here. Open vendor, always. We just made sure everything else, the tablescapes, the plates, the napkins, the glasses, was already handled, so nobody had to ask a friend to set up a reception space on somebody's wedding day.

It went perfectly. In our planning meetings, they told us it was so much easier working with us. Summer confirmed every vendor they'd already chosen, every detail they'd already decided, and brought it all together without a single thing falling through the cracks.

At the end of the night, Jason and Rachel sat down and recorded a video telling us how happy they were. I asked if we could share it, because that's the kind of thing that means the most to us.

They just wanted to get married and have a beautiful day. It's a shame another venue couldn't give them that. We're glad we could.
